Rainbow Valley, Petroglyphs in Yerbas Buenas Valley

In this experience we will closely get to know the Rainbow Valley and the Petroglyphs of Yerbas Buenas, important places within the region highlighting the cultural and natural aspects of the area. We will enjoy unique places such as the most important group of petroglyphs in the region, and Rainbow Valley, named for the colors that minerals give to the mountains.

We will start our experience from your hotel, we will travel west to meet the Domeyko Mountain Range. As a first place, we will visit the Yerbas Buenas sector, of great historical importance based on rock art. It has one of the most important groups of petroglyphs in the region. A tour of the place will take us back to the time of indigenous caravans, enriching our experience through history and culture. Next, and after crossing Matancilla, a valley rich in flora and fauna, we will find the Rainbow Valley, a unique place in the world, named for the various colors that the presence of minerals gives to the mountains. After a short walk to enjoy the landscape, we will visit the village of Río Grande, bathed by the river that bears the same name. We will enjoy the original colonial architecture preserved in its streets. A town frozen in time will give us an ending to this journey through wonderful landscapes and times.
